- Children under the age of 6 years old or that weight less than 60 pounds must be in a car seat.
- A hands-free cell phone device must be used while driving a vehicle on or off base and texting while driving is also prohibited.
- Regarding base housing, certain dog breeds are not allowed in base housing. Please check directly with the Housing Office at 760-868-4500 in building 1003 for specifics.
- Speed limits must be followed at all times. Breaking this law will cause you to lose your driving privileges for 30 days.
Telephone Access
To obtain command listing and phone numbers to the various facilities aboard MCAGCC call the Information, Referral and Relocation office at 760-830-6344 or email brittany.rising@usmc.mil.
All official activities aboard the Combat Center have an area code and prefix of 760-830-xxxx, unless otherwise noted. All off-base, local activities have an area code of 760.
Defense Service Network Dialing Instructions
The DSN is the provider of long-distance communications service for the Department of Defense. Every installation has a special DSN number and the numbers vary by world-wide location. In order to place a call using DSN the caller must be using a military phone on an installation. Cell phones cannot dial DSN numbers. When dialing a DSN number from a United States installation to another United States installation it is unnecessary to dial the DSN 312 area code. When dialing a DSN number to/from overseas locations the DSN area code must be included.
The Information, Referral and Relocation program is located in building 1526. IR&R coordinates with base services and leadership to host the Commanding General's Welcome Aboard Orientation. This brief is mandatory for all Marines, excluding students, E-1 through E-6, O1 and O2, and CWO1. All personnel and family are welcome and highly encouraged to attend. Lending Lockers are available with general kitchen items and basic houshold items. Lending Lockers can be utilized during your PCS move, either coming aboard or departing the Combat Center. Contact the IR&R program manager Brittany Rising for more information at 760-830-6344 or email brittany.rising@usmc.mil.
