Dugway is on a 4-day workweek, Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Some employment roles require shift work and weekend work. Incoming personnel should arrive during duty hours if possible to ensure your housing/lodging needs are met. Housing is undergoing renovations in certain areas that may result in a longer waiting period for some personnel. Please contact the Housing office immediately to obtain the status and put your name on the waiting list.
Cellular Phone coverage at Dugway Proving Ground is limited to AT&T coverage. All other phone services are unreliable even with roaming enabled. Please keep in mind that the nearest cellular phone stores are approx 70 miles away so it is recommended that you transfer service to an ATT carrier prior to arrival at Dugway Proving Ground.
Defense Service Network (DSN) Dialing Instructions
The DSN is the provider of long-distance communications service for the Department of Defense (DoD). Every installation has a special DSN number and the numbers vary by world-wide location. In order to place a call using DSN, the caller must be using a military phone on an installation. Cell phones cannot dial DSN numbers. When dialing a DSN number from a United States installation to another United States installation, it is unnecessary to dial the DSN 312 area code. When dialing a DSN number to/from overseas locations, the DSN area code must be included. The DSN operator can be reached at commercial (719) 567-1110. Please note that long distance charges may be incurred.
